Managers and employees can post a shift for pick up.

Employees can post their own shifts and managers can post:

1.  Open shifts - shifts that were created on the scheduler with a placeholder

2.  Employees shifts - managers can post employees shifts for them if they are unable to

There are 6 reasons a shift can disappear from the shift board.

1.  Pick up of the shift has been approved by the manager

2.  Employee has unposted their shift

3.  Shift has been changed by manager via the VSB or the Employee Shift Panel which causes the shift to be removed from the shift board.  Changes such as, deleting the shift, reassigning the shift and unposting the shift will all remove the shift from the shift board.

4.  Shift start time has begun.  If a shift sits on the shift board until it's start time it will disappear from the shift board and the person who owns the shift when it was posted will be considered to have worked it.

Note: It is worth mentioning, if a shift sits on the shift board until it's start time begins, the system will stamp it as worked by the owner of the shift.
