Time blocks are crucial to creating schedules in RecStaff.  They are what the system uses to generate the calendar canvas you draw your shifts on, and calculate staff availability. For this reason, removing time blocks when they are still being used by existing or future schedule (i.e. during the middle of a session) IS NOT RECOMMENDED!


To add or modify your time blocks

1.  Click on Site Setup or Department Setup depending on your permissions

2.  Click on Schedule Types

3.  Click on the 9 block icon of the schedule you want to modify


Now that you're in the time block you can choose from a number of options

1.  Add a new time block

2.  Click on the edit pencil icon and edit the individual time block

3.  Add a new time block with existing start and end date

4.  Edit ALL time blocks in the group

5.  Create a new session and copy these time blocks to that session

Note:  Time blocks should be changed before the start of a session so staff have enough time to set their availability based on these time blocks.
