Hiding availability time blocks is a way to unclutter an employees My Availability page.
If you schedule a number of months in advance (seasonally or by session) AND you have numerous time blocks for this period you can make availability that has been locked hidden from staff.
Example:
Company A creates 4 months of schedules and each month has different time blocks so staff must fill out their availability for each month. You can reveal each month's availability time blocks when you need them to set their availability.
Work Flow:
4 month schedule, staff given 1 weeks to fill in availability
1. Two weeks before month 1 is to begin ask staff to fill out their availability and give them a week to fill it out
2. Lock availability for that month once the update period is over so staff can no longer modify their availability and it's set for creating schedules
3. Create the schedules for the month
4. Repeat the process but before sending out the request for next months availability hide the previous availability time block to avoid confusion.
1. Click Site Setup or Dept Setup depending on your system role
2. Click Schedule Types
3. Click on the 9 box rectangle icon of the schedule type you want to change
4. Click on the pencil on paper icon of the time block for the Edit Group of Time blocks dialogue box to appear
5. Click Allow staff to see this group drop down chevron
6. Choose Hidden from staff
7. Click Save these edits to confirm
