Below is a list of reasons why an employee cannot post a shift.  Managers are not restricted from posting shifts.


1.  The role is marked as unpostable.

2.  A work assignment attached to the shift is marked as unpostable and your manager has not enabled the split shift function.

3.  The setting Prevent shift splits from breaking up work assignments.

4.  The minimum post lead time may be set which would prevent an employee from posting a shift that was to start within this lead time period.  For example, if the minimum post lead time is set for 1 hr and the time was 3pm.  If I had a shift that started at 3:30pm and tried to post it the system wouldn't let me.



Note:  If you are able to split shifts you may still be unable to post a shift because the shifts created after the split do not meet the required minimum length of a shift set in the system.
