Version 4 introduces significant enhancements to scheduling workflows, shift management, and usability across the platform. This release focuses on reducing manual effort, improving flexibility for complex schedules, and giving schedulers more control directly from the dashboard and visual schedule builder.


What’s New

Advanced Scheduling & Recurring Workflows

  • Recurring shifts to reduce repetitive schedule creation; edit shifts across weeks
  • Session-based scheduling, including the automatic copying of schedules for session
  • Lesson sets that can start and end within defined sessions
  • Synchronized shifts, allowing linked shifts within a week that also span multiple weeks
  • Copy and paste multiple shifts at once, including copying entire days or multiple days


Faster Shift Management from the Dashboard

  • Submit shifts using the new Shift Submission workflow - overview, managers and employees
  • Add new shifts directly from the dashboard, including work assignments
  • Edit shift work assignments, location, colour, and label from the dashboard
  • Convert assigned shifts to Open Shifts directly from the shift dialog


Visual Schedule Builder (VSB) Enhancements

  • Split shifts directly within the Visual Schedule Builder 
  • Split shifts inside the Shift Board, including duplication of pickup requests
  • Short Cut Keys that allow you to quickly search for information in your schedule (quick ref)
  • New Visual indicators identify posted shifts, verified shifts and submitted shifts
  • Enhanced search including shift colour, colour band (ie similar colours) and shift location
  • Option to republish a schedule but stay inside the VSB to continue editing it
  • Expandable staff pick list (SPL) and work assignment list (WAL)
  • NOTE: double-click now opens shift detail view; shift+double-click for premiums


Shift Board & Reporting Improvements

  • Shift Board History Report for improved visibility into posted and picked-up shifts
  • Improved handling of pickup requests when shifts are split
  • Open shifts added from the dashboard can be quickly added to shift board
  • New option to exempt manager approval of shift postings IF the shift is urgent
  • Ability to edit the message staff see on a posted shift from the shift board


Payroll and Timesheets

  • Option to flag any lines in timesheet or payroll report that don't have a payroll mapping
  • Option to prevent following an override role on a work assignment if the pay is reduced
