RecStaff uses text messages (SMS) to send important information such as shift notifications, schedule updates, reminders, and time-sensitive alerts. To make sure you receive these messages reliably, we strongly recommend saving RecStaff as a contact on your phone.

What happens if you don’t save the number?

Modern smartphones and mobile carriers automatically filter messages they don’t recognize. If a number isn’t saved in your contacts, messages may:

  • Be silenced or delivered without a notification

  • Appear in a “Spam” or “Unknown Senders” folder

  • Be blocked automatically by your device or carrier

  • Be harder to identify when you need to act quickly

This is especially important for work-related messages that may require a response.

Why saving RecStaff as a contact helps

Adding RecStaff to your contacts tells your phone that messages from our system are trusted. This helps:

  • Ensure notifications are delivered properly

  • Prevent messages from being filtered or blocked

  • Clearly identify RecStaff messages in your message list

  • Keep all RecStaff SMS messages grouped together

Why you might see more than one number

RecStaff may send messages from more than one phone number, depending on message type, location, or carrier routing. This is normal for application-based messaging systems.

For best results, we recommend:

  • Saving all RecStaff SMS numbers under the same RecStaff contact

  • Updating the contact if you see a new number used

  • Currently we use two numbers:
    (250) 800-2864
    (888) 802-2864

Best practices

To ensure uninterrupted communication:

  • Save RecStaff as a contact as soon as you receive your first message

  • Add any new RecStaff numbers to that same contact

  • Make sure notifications are enabled for your messaging app

  • Avoid blocking or reporting RecStaff messages as spam

What kind of messages does RecStaff send?

Depending on your organization’s setup, RecStaff may send:

  • Shift availability or pickup notifications

  • Schedule changes or reminders

  • Time-sensitive alerts from your employer

  • System or account-related updates

These messages are designed to help you stay informed and manage your work more easily.
