Today we deployed a new minor release of RecStaff, version 3.4. Our minor releases include new features, general improvements and bug fixes.
So, what's new?
New Features
- Support for recurring shifts with auto-generation of schedules for an entire session
- Support for SSO authentication using MS Entra
- Support for scheduled custom tasks, including uploading of payroll extracts to SFTP
- Editing work and payroll codes on historical (archived) shifts
Improvements
- Shift detailed view can now be opened directly from the calendar canvas in VSB
- Verification dialogue now included facility as a sortable column
- New icons in shift detail view tabs indicate when coding or notes have been set for a shift
- Improved audit trail when closing, deactivating or reactivating employee accounts
- Timesheets can now be refreshed directly from the detailed timesheet view, rather than only from the timesheet listing
- UI changes to identify warn users when shifts from a timesheet have been deleted since the timesheet was created
- Option to ignore work assignment override if the result would be a reduction in pay for the employee
- New option to disable or enable payroll period uploads as needed
- New sorting on payroll period to list period alphabetically by group name within the period number grouping
- Gender is no longer displayed in Employee profile if that is an excluded field at the organization level
- New warnings when opening a schedule in the VSB to warn of incorrectly configured timeblocks
Bug fixes
- Fixed issue where shift differentials were not being reapplied after a shift was reassigned through the shift board
- Fixed issue where replacement tracker was showing name of manager who posted open shifts
- Fixed payroll issue where payroll period report was not always refreshing after timesheet regeneration
- Fixed payroll issue where employees with only unworked hours were causing the report table to become misaligned
- Fixed issue where empty values in accounting code field on payroll rates would cause an error during TS processing
- Fixed error in payroll breakdown table for sites using payroll but without rates enabled
