The payroll and timesheet process has multiple steps to transform your scheduling information and payroll configuration into payroll data that your HR department can use to pay staff.


The following is an overview of the process with each step labeled. Note that although it might look complicated, most steps only require a few clicks to complete and some steps (like step #6 - Employee Sign off of Timesheets) are optional:



In brief, the steps are:


  1. Verify shifts - use the Time and Attendance Workflow to verify on a regular basis that the schedule is accurate
  2. Create your next payroll period
  3. Generate the timesheets
  4. Review the timesheets to confirm that all the shifts are correct and verified
  5. Correct and problems with coding, missing rates etc
  6. Send timesheets to staff for review and sign off (optional)
  7. Sign off on the timesheets
  8. Mark the period as completed
  9. Export the data for loading into your payroll system (optional)
