Time Blocks are the way in which you define when staff can work.  They are the basis of your employees' availability form and the calendar canvas in the Visual Scheduler Builder.

Below is an example of how time blocks work.  There are 2 scenarios listed Scenario A and Scenario B.

Scenario A shows you how the time blocks created do NOT work.  Scenario B shows you how to fix the problem with Scenario A.

Scenario A

Time Block 1 - 6am - 10:30am

Time Block 2 - 10:30am - 5:00pm

Scenario B

Time Block 1 - 6:00am - 10:30am

Time Block 2 - 10:30am - 5:00pm

Time Block 3 - 8:30am - 5:00pm

Staff will go into their My Availability form and fill out which of these time blocks they would like to work.  Managers create time blocks based on when shifts happen.  When defining your time blocks you would like your shifts to fall within the time block.  Jane is the employee used in the example below.
