My Shifts

There are two ways for employees to view their shifts.  They can do so from their Dashboard calendar or from their My Shifts menu item.  To access the shifts from the menu system go to:

Location of Facilities menu option

This menu option brings you to a list of your upcoming shifts.  The i icon in the Actions column lists the shift details.

Facility Listing

From this my shifts listing page you may:

Post Shift for Pickup

Unpost Shifts

View Shift Details

Clicking on the i icon in the Actions column will show you the shift detail dialogue box.  Unlike from the dashboard, you cannot post or unpost a shift from this shift view.  You do that by clicking on the check box beside the shift you want to post or unpost.

The second way to view your shifts is from the dashboard calendar.

The dashboard calendar displays the current months shifts.  You can change the month from the drop down box in the top middle of the screen or by the arrow on either sign of the top of the screen.  You can click on each shift and view the shift details as shown below.  The difference between the shift details that you view from the calendar is that you're given the ability to post the shift from the shift details whereas, on from the menu item My Shifts you post and unpost from the listing page itself.

1. The shift detail shows you the date and time of the shift, what role the shift is for, where the shift will occur and the shift id.

2. The shift assignments are the work assignments for the shift if there are any, as shown below.

3. The shift history details when the shift was first published, who it's original owner was, if it was posted and picked up or posted and unposted, or if the shift was split.  The shift history will let    you know what has happened to the shift since inception to completion.

At the bottom of this shift are two icons; the daysheet icon which appears on all shifts, allows you to view everyone who is working today and the post icon.  The post icon indicates that you may post this shift for pick up.  Below is a list of action icons that can appear at the bottom of a shift:

The post icon allows you to post a shift.  If this icon is not present then the role you are trying to post is unpostable or you have work assignments that are unpostable and you're not permitterd to split your shifts.

The unpost icon allows you to unpost a shift that has been previously posted.  You can only unpost shifts that have yet to be picked up, in other words, they're still on the manager's shift board - approvals.

The scissors icon, when displayed on the shifts detail page, means you must split this shift in order for you to post a portion of it.  The scissors icon would appear if you had unpostable work assignments on the shift.  It would allow                       you to attempt to post the parts of the shift that didn't have unpostable work assignments.
